Pew, Stewart Trust announce the new research program for cancer research
The Pew Charitable Trusts and Alexander and Margaret Stewart Trust has announced the inaugural class of Pew- Stewart Scholars for Cancer Research. Five promising scientists early career receiving funding for research to find treatments for cancer using approaches that include genetics, pharmacology and structural biology.
"Cancer continues to wreak havoc on human health worldwide, and creative approaches are essential for the development of new therapies," said Rebecca W. Rimel, Pew president and chief direction. "We are excited to work with the Stewart Trust extend our commitment to science and look forward to the findings of these talented researchers will do to meet these challenges."
